Do you believe in SIGNS? I have been asked this question quite often by friends and sometimes myself. As a matter of fact I was watching this typical Masala Hindi movie wherein the hero sees signs indicating him to go back to his lady love. Well coming back to Real from Reel.
I joined a new workplace. New people, new work. Was looking for a welcome change after 3 years in my last venture. But things were not as expected when I begin. Something was missing. Was it the work? the people? or was it me? I started thinking 'Am i really supposed to be here?'.
Nevertheless, I decided to give my new job a try. A chance. May be I can be the change which is badly required here.
So i was all charged up to get on with my act. There was some apprehension but i am an optimistic.
So fully charged on a Monday morning i was at my office. Our places were to be changed today. Great 'Change' is what was required for me to start. That was a good Sign. And all settled at my new desk I was checking out the office view from there. And the first thing that caught my eye was a big board saying 'EMERGENCY EXIT' which is right in front of me. I tried to look at something else and saw another board just besides it 'FIRE EXIT'. Another look checking my entire office and I see more 'FIRE EXIT' boards hanging from the ceiling.
Made me think Are these SIGNS? Have I made the right decision? Is this the place for me? Or i am observing these SIGNS coz i want to observe them.
